In 2005, the Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Canadian Embassy held the:

2^nd Annual Commerce Tradeshow (March 2nd, 2005)

- This event was made possible thanks to sponsorships of Andinatel, Alegro, Exact Pay, and Azul.  

-  Participants: 44 expositor firms

-  Expositors: 6 speakers representing leaders in the fields of telecommunications, mining, petroleum, environment, social impact, and bilateral relations between Canada and Ecuador.

With this event, the Chamber aimed at providing information about the current situation as well as the growth opportunities of the major strategic sectors for the development of the country.  This event had for main objectives:

1) To familiarize the ecuadorian business community with the differents Canadian as well as Ecuadorian firms in the sectors of energy, environment, mining, telecommunications, forestry, educacion and services.

2) To promote and spread products and services related to investment and/or Canadian technologies in Ecuador.

3) To offer an attractive opportunity that facilitates contacts between the participating firms and the visitors.  To offer information to ecuadorian forms on how to establish better economic relations with Canada.
