SUMMARY: Citizenship and Immigration Canada provides services to admit immigrants, foreign students, visitors and temporary workers to Canada.  This Department also works to resettle, protect and provide a safe haven for refugees within the parameters of Canada�s �Refugee Resettlement Program�.  Once in Canada, the Department provides services to help newcomers adapt to Canadian society and become Canadian citizens.

Through its refugee protection system, Canada offers safe haven to persons with a well-founded fear of persecution, as well as those at risk of torture or cruel and unusual treatment or punishment.

STUDYING IN CANADA

SUMMARY: Study Canada is a comprehensive resource guide to schools in Canada, including information about universities, university colleges, community colleges, technical institutes, career colleges, secondary schools, summer camps, and language schools.  This site also provides a guide to the education system in Canada, school requirements, school costs, the climate, the cost of living, accommodations and Canadian history. This site also outlines the process for getting a visa or the type of study permit needed to study at a school in Canada.
